Alakulttuuriaukio 29.6.2024: Asa, Petos, Adikia, Paatti & Pavel and Los Espoo
Subculture (alakulttuuri) takes over Tapiola’s Kulttuuriaukio, when a wide range of legends of Finnish alternative music, the most peculiar artists and rising names get on the stage. The event, organized for the first time in 2023, will take place four times this summer: 1.6., 29.6. 13.7. and 10.8.
Alakulttuuriaukio events are organized by an event venue Kupla and Helsinki Urban Art.

Alakulttuuriaukio is open to everyone and free of charge. The events are organized next to Tapiola’s new event venue Kupla and its terrace. A wide selection of drinks from local breweries and small producers is on sale. Event time 17:00 – 23:00.

Los Espoo
Rapping all the way from the hoods till East and from the center till West. Los Espoo is a rap group consisting of suburban-raised Espoo residents. Old school beats seasoned with beer-infused rhymes are what Los Espoo is known for.
Paatti & Pavel
Paatti & Pavel is a duo originating from Luopioinen and Riihimäki, Finland, both of whom also make music independently under their artist names Tykopaatti and Pavel. Together, the gentlemen create traditional rap music. The duo is best enjoyed live, with a smile on your face.
Adikia
Adikia has carved out a strong position for herself in the field of Finnish rap. She has managed to create a completely unique style that combines a determined attitude, a unique flow, unapologetic lyrics, and modern production. Over the past few years, Adikia has been actively releasing new material, with her songs alternating between intimate personal themes and bold social criticism.
Petos
Petos is an old-school underground hip-hop artist who has been releasing music since the 90s. He enjoys nationwide cult popularity and his lyrics circulate around alcohol, critisism of society, and crimes. He is known for his ultra-violent lyrical content and politically colored messages.Petos is involved in solo releases as well as being part of the Kallio Underground collective and has featured on albums by several well-known Finnish artists.
Asa
Asa is an awarded rap musician who rose to prominence under the stage name Avain in the early 2000s as a member of the “Rähinä Records” hip-hop collective. Since the beginning of his career Asa has marched to the beat of his own drum: he has drawn inspiration from various musical styles, ranging from folk music nuances to traditional hip-hop and psychedelic flows. In 2024, Asa is an independent artist, both aesthetically and thanks to his own record label.
