Aaron Koskelainen’s Stampede is a dynamic four-member band that was established in 2022.
Mixing influences from different musical areas, the band fuses parts of free expression, “straight-ahead” and rock music, creating a fascinating soundscape.
Each member of the band brings their own distinctive voice, allowing for spontaneous improvisation where ideas flow freely and merge together, forming a unique experience.
Jani Jokinen’s Quintet performs and plays new and stylish instrumental music at Kupla. The players are from different parts of Finland, but are currently making an impact in Helsinki in various formations, for example Jokinen’s quintet. The sound of the quintet has developed with the help of the different personalities and musical backgrounds of the players.
In the compositions, Jokinen’s story told musically, from the yards of his home village to the streets of Helsinki, is strongly heard. The songs are influenced by Finnish folk music, Nordic jazz and pop music, and the melodies are guaranteed to be playing in your head even after the show.
