Tiikerin vuosi
Tiikerin vuosi is a Finnish rock band from Tapiola. The band’s sound is a mix of soft longing rock and country dust from the highways of America. The traditionally decorative lyrics of the songs are attached to the music with the core threads of majestic guitar solos, knitting a variegated sweater of joy, longing and beauty.
Kaksipäinen koira
Kaksipäinen Koira (Two-Headed Dog) is an exciting new force in the world of music captivating fusion of influences spanning from the 80s New Wave to the brooding depths of gothic rock, the ethereal textures of shoegaze, and even the hypnotic rhythms of krautrock. The band is comprised of Tero Huotari (vocals and guitar), who is known as the mastermind behind Teksti-TV 666 and Aliisa Keränen (drums and vocals), known from bands such as Bad Sauna and Lala Salama. In live performances, the lineup is further enriched by bassist and vocalist Otto Pekkola.
Brian
Brian is the cult-famous band of Kata Laakso and Miro Palokallio, which diverges in different directions in its music, combining seemingly inappropriate pieces into a seamless whole. The concert line-up of the band, known for its killer catchy choruses, is completed by Miro’s drummer brother Aarni Palokallio, as well as a varied selection of bassists and guest drummers, made up of the country’s leading musicians.
Ursus Factory
Ursus Factory is an exceptional gem on the Finnish music scene, whose boisterous neo-garage rock rumbles, but melodies are uncompromisingly at the forefront. The duo is particularly known for their boisterous concerts and has often been praised as one of the best live bands in Finland. At the core is the duo’s seamless connection, which unfolds in the playing as pure, irresistible rock ‘n’ roll joy.
Indie-aukio is organized by Kupla and Helsinki Urban Art. The event is supported by City Events Espoo.
